Going deeper into who we are can feel like reading a fairy tale written in layers. Beneath the visible surface, older stories remain: fragments of time, inherited traces and forgotten voices that continue to shape the present. This work grows from that experience of discovery. Like peeling old wallpaper and finding newspapers once hidden underneath, it reveals how the past stays embedded within us. The Haarlem newspaper beneath the paint remains partly visible, allowing memory to surface as something both intimate and wondrous.
